the volunteer charter
Preamble
CANNES VOLONTAIRES association is responsible for the planning and operational deployment of its volunteers for the various events in which it participates and with which it has contractual ties.
The purpose of this charter is to define the mutual commitments governing the relationship between CANNES VOLONTAIRES and the volunteers for all the association’s events.
The volunteer is an active member of CANNES VOLONTAIRES who wishes to get involved spontaneously and freely in the organization of various events in order to contribute to their success.
- Provide training enabling the volunteer to successfully carry out their duties and be ready for future sports or cultural events;
- Issue a uniform to the volunteer—which remains the property of CANNES VOLONTAIRES until the end of the event and is subsequently gifted to the volunteer;
- Provide meals for the volunteer while they are performing their duties, in accordance with the organizer’s arrangements;
- Take out an insurance policy covering accident risks for the entire duration of the volunteer’s duties (covering damage sustained or caused by the volunteer).
- I remain loyal to the Cannes Volontaires association and uphold its values: solidarity, sharing, respect, secularism, and commitment.
- I actively participate in the various training sessions organized prior to the event.
- I carry out my duties with diligence, responsibility, loyalty, and team spirit.
- When participating in an association event, I commit fully, honor my obligations, and foster team spirit.
- I adhere to the organization’s procedures as well as health and safety regulations.
- I exercise discretion regarding organizers, artists, VIPs, the media, and visitors; I do not take photos or videos without the consent of the individuals involved.
- I do not post information on social media on behalf of Cannes Volontaires.
- I notify the Volunteer Program manager if I withdraw either before or during the event.
- I am always courteous to everyone I encounter (staff, volunteers, spectators, officials, media, etc.).
- I always carry my accreditation badge visibly and never pass it on to anyone else.
- I proudly wear the official Cannes Volontaires uniform, without any accessories identifying me as a representative of a specific group, ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, or any other belief system.
- I do not smoke outside designated areas and do not consume alcohol while on duty.
- I respect the meal and break times scheduled by the organization or the association in the volunteer center or designated area, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to eat and rest. I contribute to the sustainable development initiatives implemented by event organizers and the association by acting responsibly in my daily routine:
- I prioritize public transport or carpooling to get to the venue whenever possible
- I follow the established waste sorting guidelines
- I strive to ensure that the events I participate in are accessible to everyone
- I am free to withdraw from my overall commitment to Cannes Volontaires at any time by simply sending an email to contact@cannesvolontaires.fr
